Day 1 - Asbestos Awareness
Day 2 - Asbestos Duty to Manage & contractor management*

- Day 1 is a UKATA recognised Asbestos Awareness course (also available as half-day course)
- Increase your asbestos awareness; what, where & why it is has been used followed by sensible options to manage or remove
- Latest regulations (CAR 2012), codes of practice & guidance explained incl NNLW
- How to specify and interpret asbestos surveys (HSG 264)
- What the enforcing authorities (HSE etc) are expecting and how to achieve these standards
- Share your ideas & listen to others on the course

- Unsure what to do about your “Duty to manage asbestos”, the 2 day management course will give you a clear understanding and a way forward (outside the scope of UKATA).
- The afternoon of day 2 illustrates asbestos contractors, equipment, set up & removal techniques complete with 4 stage clearance and disposal arrangements.
- Finally what records to ask for and keep for updating registers & compliance inspections.
